Where are you from? What do you do?

I am an actor; producer; entrepreneur; husband and father! I am from Detroit, MI.

How did you hear about BeGreat Bow Ties?

I first heard about BeGreat Bow ties when the founder Thomas Knox, reaches out to me. I produced and starred in a film about the young man, Tyrelle Shaw, who originally came up with the concept of the ties. Thomas contacted me to let me know he actually knew Tyrelle and created a brand of ties in his honor.

What is your favorite word to wear?

Right now my favorite word to wear is INSPIRE. I have such a curious mind and am thus inspired constantly, which leads to my unlimited creativity.

What does the word GREAT mean to you?

GREAT is a state of consciousness. Being GRATEFUL for the life that is given to you. Appreciating all that is even when it’s hard to see the sun shining, but knowing that it is and that you are special!

How long have you been wearing bow ties?

I’ve been wearing bow ties since I was 6. I went to Marcus Garvey Academy back home in Detroit in the first grade, and part of the uniform was wearing a bow tie because it commanded respect - self-respect.

Who are your style influences? Why?

Ooh!! There’s so many. Jared Leto; Billy Dee Williams; Sammy Davis, Jr.; Andre 3000. I really dig the classic man but with a sense of eclecticism. I like to push the bounds while staying classy!

What does being GREAT mean to you?

Being great to me means living my best life while remaining grateful for all that I have and using what I gain to give back!
